Building Permit Requirements

1.  Name, Address, Phone number, and Fax number of the following

            A. Owner

            B. General Contractor ( Include License Number)

            C. Heating (HVAC) Contractor ( Include License Number)

            D. Electrician

            E. Master Plumber (Include License Number)

            *All contractors excluding the Electrician must be licensed in Wisconsin*

2. 2 sets of Building Plans (1 will be returned).

3. Site Plan with Soil Erosion Control Plan

4. Wisconsin Energy Worksheet (copies available at office)

5. Legal Description of Parcel

6. Driveway Permit

            Town roads from Town Clerk (not needed in Star Prairie)

            County roads for St. Croix County or Polk County Highway Department

            State roads from Wisconsin Department of Transportation - Eau Claire

7. Sanitary Permit from County through licensed installer

8. Estimated building cost ( everything but the lot cost)

9. In Alden, a copy of the Land Use Permit for Polk County is required.

All applicable items must be completed and/or submitted before a Building Permit will be issued.
